Obituary of Richard Martin Goun
Richard Martin Goun, 68, of West Windsor, passed away on March 21, 2021. Born to Nathan and Pearl Goun, Richard grew up in Metuchen, NJ enjoying baseball, tennis, and lifeguarding. He became an Eagle Scout at 15 years old. Richard received a B.S. from Rutgers University and a J.D. from Western New England School of Law. He was a defense civil litigation attorney for many years. Richard was a fun and sweet man who brought good will and joy to his family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Cynthia Bernstein-Goun. He is survived by his mother, Pearl Goun; his sisters, Barbara Goun and Carol Arnott; and his three sons, Seth, Matthew, and Lawrence Goun. An outdoor memorial celebration is scheduled at Mercer County Park East Picnic Area (1346 Edinburg Rd, Princeton Junction, NJ 08550) on Sunday, May 16 from 1PM to 4PM; please see Star of David Memorial Chapels for updated details. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “Goun Family Special Needs Trust of 2019, 1612 W Oregon Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19145,” which Richard created to provide lifelong care for his special needs son, or to the American Red Cross or Sierra Club, which Richard supported for many years.
